In all seriousness though, even on the coldest or the warmest days this Honey Tangerine Smash needs to be your new winter drink before tangerine season runs away from us for another year. Thank goodness for Netflix, a well stocked bar and warm pug to keep me entertained. Those are the days that I’m going to barricade up in my apartment and not leave until the thermometer reaches above or at least close to 30 degrees. I can take it, but wind chills that bring the temperature down the single digits? A snowstorm there, some pretty cold days here. Mother nature is on a war path after a fairly moderate winter. Now let me tell you, it has been some dark and cold days lately too. There’s just something about fresh, bright, tart, and colorful citrus juice that will brighten up even the darkest and coldest winter day. ![]() Each fruit listed, deliciously used in many forms, is best used in my opinion in a cocktail. It’s prime citrus season! Oranges, blood oranges, meyer lemons, grapefruits, tangerines, clementines, lemons, limes. Sure there was a spiked hot chocolate but it’s chocolate and that just falls into its own category. What is wrong with this picture?! I feel like I’ve failed you a little bit so far in 2016, we are 7 weeks into the new year and I’ve yet to give you a proper cocktail.
